Max Cavalera has played in numerous supergroups throughout his prolific career, but Nailbomb is by far the most confrontational one. The two-man operation, rounded out by Fudge Tunnel founder Alex Newport, released its lone studio album, Point Blank, in 1994, and the LP’s infamously brutal cover art tells you everything you need to know about how it sounds — gnarly, violent and hateful. Its tastefully ugly mix of ferocious thrash and harsh industrial still sounds utterly brutal to this day, especially on vinyl. Eli Enis
