HAVOK 'BURN' LP (Black/Purple Vinyl)
HAVOK 'V' LP (Black Vinyl)

Inspired by the revival of American thrash metal in the mid-2000s, Havok created their own blend of neck-snapping and aggressive sound reminiscent of Bay Area thrash icons Testament, Exodus, and Metallica. Formed in 2004 in Denver, Colorado, the band has been credited for leading the thrash metal revival scene in the 2000s.

In 2013, Havok released Unnatural Selection, their highly acclaimed third full-length effort. The band continued to polish their uncompromising sound, as evident in their succeeding efforts, including 2017’s Conformicide and 2020’s V. Since 2004, the band has retro-fitted classic thrash through several self-financed albums.

Their self-financed releases include their 2005 demo, their 2006 single, and Pwn ‘em All, their 2007 EP. Their efforts paid off and got them a deal with Candlelight Records. Burn, their 2009 debut album, gave them an opportunity to tour with bands Primal Fear, Hammerfall, Destruction, Exodus, and Anthrax.

Unnatural Selection sold over 2,500 copies in its first week and landed at number 154 on the Billboard Top 200. After the release of the album, the band performed at the Rock Al Parque festival in Bogota, Colombia, to an estimated 45,000 people. Havok also set out on a 50-plus headline tour to support the album.

All the touring and exposure have helped improve the group’s already impressive chops and prepared band members Reece Scruggs, David Sanchez, Pete Webber, and Jessie de los Santos for their sophomore album. Time is Up, their sophomore album was released in 2011 and was produced by James Murphy.

After touring steadily, the band left Candlelight Records and signed up with Century Media. After some lineup changes, Nick Schendzielos of Cephalic Carnage made his debut on Conformicide, the band’s fourth album. Conformicide was released in 2017. Three years later, the band released V, their aptly named fifth offering.
