Widely hailed as groundbreakers and pioneers of metalcore, Converge has consistently maintained its status as one of the most innovative and original bands from the punk underground through the years. Since their landmark album, Jane Doe, the band has continued to produce meticulously produced and elaborate albums.

Known to push boundaries and challenge their creative limits, Converge has never disappointed fans with masterpieces like All We Love We Leave Behind (2012), The Dusk in Us (2017), and Bloodmoon: I (2021). The band’s first full-length album, Halo in a Haystack, was released in 1994.

In 1997, Converge released Caring and Killing, their first compilation album. The album featured the band’s early work from 1991 to 1994. The band also released a seven-inch EP, Unloved and Weeded Out, in 2003.

Converge was formed in 1990 in Salem, Massachusetts. The band members include Jacob Bannon (vocalist/visual artist), Jeff Feinburg (bassist), Kurt Ballou (guitarist), Aaron Dalbec (second guitarist), and Damon Belloarado (drums). Through the years, band members also worked on various side projects.

The release of When Forever Comes Crashing in 1998 cemented the band’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the hardcore-metal scene. After releasing the studio album You Fail Me, the band did a few rounds of touring before releasing No Heroes in 2006. Three years later, it was followed by Axe to Fall.

The band recorded a live performance of the Jane Doe album captured at the Dutch Roadburn Festival. It was later released as Jane Live in 2017. Later that year, Under Duress, was released. It was the first single from their eleventh album, The Dusk in Us. The album peaked at number 60 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In the summer of 2018, Converge released the Beautiful Ruin EP. In 2021, the band teamed up with Cave In guitarist/vocalist Steve Brodsky, Ben Chisholm, and doom-folk songstress Chelsea Wolfe to release the atmospheric and brooding album Bloodmoon: I.
