But Who’s Buying is a quintessential thrash record that added a welcomed dose of cartoonish fun to the emerging genre’s sonic cocktail of speedy riffs and thrilling solos. Dave Mustaine’s guitarwork on here rivals any of his contemporaries, and risks like the album’s speak-singy title track and “I Ain’t Superstitious” cover worked brilliantly.
