Arguably the most important hardcore record of the Nineties, Hatebreed’s 1997 debut, Satisfaction is the Death of Desire, set a new high water mark for the genre’s heaviness, providing a blueprint for future generations of bands who would go on to operate both in hardcore proper and outside of it.
