Symptoms and Cures was a major reset for Comeback Kid. After 2007’s contentious Broadcasting LP — the first to feature new frontman Andrew Neufield — the group nailed a heavier, more natural sound on Symptoms, one that's immortalized by the ferocious opener “Do Yourself a Favor,” which recalls American Nightmare and H20 in equal measure. The record’s energy is infectious, and with a guest list that includes vocalists from Architects, Cancer Bats and A Wilhelm Scream, there’s plenty to latch onto.
