Description
Omen were a criminally overlooked Los Angeles trad-metal outfit spearheaded by guitarist Kenny Powell following his split with Savage Grace. The groups’ second album, 1985’s Warning of Danger, saw Omen bucking prevailing L.A. metal trends — glam on one side, and thrash on the other — via epic Maiden-esque riffery and equally epic lyrics that wax poetic on classic trad topics, from swords & sorcery to sci-fi dystopia.
