Released in 1992, White Trash marked a major transition point for NOFX. Most notably, it’s their first album to feature guitarist El Hefe — whose arrival locked the act’s classic lineup in place until their 2024 breakup. While often thought of as perma-prankin’ punkers, the band’s fourth full-length excels in tonal and sonic whiplash, vaulting itself from liquid-metal riffage and heart-aching melodic hardcore, towards satirically upbeat ska and a mock-jazz anti-tribute to straight-edge icons Minor Threat. More than 30 years later, there’s still plenty of treasure to find in NOFX’s Trash.
