The artwork for Cannibal Corpse’s 1990 debut, Eaten Back to Life, made it very clear what type of band this was right from the jump. The soon-to-be-iconic death metal group emblazoned their record with a zombie ripping out its own innards and gobbling them down with a delighted smirk — an image that was considered so gory at the time that it got the album banned in Germany. Shockingly, this isn’t even the band’s most NSFW album cover, but it’s one ya gotta own.
