They weren’t the first, and they certainly weren’t last, but few bands left as lasting an imprint on the world of hardcore as D.C. greats Minor Threat. Collecting the act’s first two groundbreaking EPs, this 12” delivers a dozen songs of whip-smart, clear-headed hardcore that literally — though accidentally — launched the straight edge movement. High-energy standouts like “Filler” likewise defied their contemporaries’ primitive fury with an infectiously melodic approach to play-it-faster punk. Essential listening, and available now on sleek, silver-colored vinyl.

This 12" EP (on 45 rpm silver vinyl) was recut from the Silver Sonya re-masters in November 2008 at Chicago Mastering Service.

Tracks 1-8 are from the first Minor Threat 7". Tracks 9-12 are from the "In My Eyes" 7 Inch. The Digital version of this record includes the song "Stand Up," from the Flex Your Head compilation.
