Coming off a round of recent single releases, Vended, the Des Moines, Iowa metal band featuring vocalist Griffin Taylor and drummer Simon Crahan — the sons of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan, respectively — have formally announced an album is on the way this fall. The group’s self-titled, self-released debut is due September 20, and will be supported by their first-ever headlining tour.
Over the past year, Vended dropped three singles: “Am I the Only One,” “Nihilism” and “The Far Side.” Those three tracks are now confirmed to be part of the act’s 11-song self-titled debut, which was tracked with producer Chris Collier (Korn). Per the band, the collection is the kind of “pure unrestrained mayhem” we need right now.
“There’s a level of aggression and emotion that’s missing from music right now, and we aim to fill that void on this album,” Vended vocalist Taylor said in a statement. “It represents everything that Vended are about. ‘Fuck your ignorance, just grab ahold of it.’ You’re either with us or against us. Vended is a unit aimed at world domination, and this album is the first step. Welcome to Vended.”
It’s unclear if another pre-release single is on the way, but Vended have also announced their first -ever round of U.S. headlining dates to support the release. We already knew that the band would be taking part in the “Bring the Pain” tour with Slipknot and Knocked Loose this September, but they’ll chase those stadium dates with a club tour that will feature opening sets from veteran metalcore force Wristmeetrazor, as well as Lie.

Taylor and fellow Slipknot offspring Crahan founded their nu-metal-flavored Vended in 2018. They delivered debut EP What Is It/Kill It in 2021.
