Faith No More have made the first official concert announcements of their latest reunion phase, and the shows will be taking place down under next year with none other than System of a Down.
The two juggernaut alt-metal acts announced the tour team-up over the weekend via a space-themed promo video, which confirms that both acts will beam into Australia and New Zealand early next year.
The run of shows begins January 22nd at Sydney, Australia’s Accord Stadium. Three of the four gigs take place on Aussie land, though the February 7th tour-closer is at Wellington, New Zealand’s Hnry Stadium. System will be headlining, with FNM supporting.
Pre-sales for all of the shows begin tomorrow, while the general on-sale is this Friday (July 31st).
As previously reported, Faith No More began teasing their return last month through an Instagram post that laid their eight-pointed star logo over a photo of a concert crowd. The following day, bassist Billy Gould confirmed that the band, which hasn’t played live since 2016, are “gonna give it a go.”
Faith No More signed a long-term deal with South American concert promoters 30e, and more dates are expected to be announced sometime in the near-future.
As for System of a Down, they will also be playing the Fort Worth, Texas, edition of Sick New World on October 24th.
