See PARAMORE’s HAYLEY WILLIAMS join DEFTONES for “Minerva” in Nashville

Though Deftones have been knocking out the hits throughout their ongoing tour, last night (March 26th) in Nashville, Tennessee, the alt-metal faves leveled up their setlist by bringing out Paramore singer Hayley Williams onstage to help sing their “Minerva.”

The surprise collab took place during the encore portion of Deftones’ show at Bridgestone Arena, and the Paramore vocalist stomped and twirled along to the heavily distorted, dream-gazing tune, almost in-sync with the giant projected visuals of a ballerina.

While Chino Moreno handled the bulk of the song, Williams punctuated the performance with glorious, high-harmony vocals throughout. You can see how they meshed together via the fan-shot footage up above and down below.

Last night’s Tennessee team-up was not the first time Williams had duetted with Deftones. Back in 2010, Paramore’s frontwoman joined the band on-stage at Luxembouyrg’s Rock-a-Field festival to take on White Pony classic “The Passenger.”

Deftones’ tour continues tomorrow (March 28th) at Indianapolis, Indiana’s Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The band also announced a run of summer dates kicking off in late August.
