Though Marilyn Manson is out on the road promoting the new tunes from his recent One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1, turns out the shock rocker has also re-spawned an oldie for his current setlist. Specifically, he gave vintage Spawn soundtrack cut “Long Hard Road Out of Hell” its long overdue live debut last week.
The track, a collaboration with trip-hop unit Speaker Pimps, was initially unleashed on the Spawn: The Album release back in 1997. Some 28 years later, Manson dusted off the gloom-damaged goth-metal cut halfway through his tour-opening set last Friday (May 2nd) at Grand Rapids, Michigan’s GLC Live at 20 Monroe.
Seems like Manson and his current band are enjoying the addition, as they’ve since played it in at their shows in Gary, Indiana, and Detroit, Michigan. To see how it all played out, you can peep some fan-shot performance from various weekend performances up above and down below.
As previously reported, Manson’s spring tour includes a mix of headline dates and festival appearances. They’ll next hit Huntington, New York’s Paramount theater on May 6th, while the tour ends May 25th in Dallas, Texas.
