See CARRIE UNDERWOOD sing “Last Resort” with PAPA ROACH in Vegas

Coming off her recent Korn and Drowning Pool salutes on American Idol, country-pop singer and bigtime metal fan Carrie Underwood reteamed with her old pals in Papa Roach over the weekend to perform a pair of songs together in Las Vegas.

Underwood appeared at Papa Roach’s concert at Sin City’s MGM Grand Garden Arena this past Saturday (April 5th), bookending the encore with performances of their 2023 collaborative suicide awareness single “Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)” and the Roach’s iconic debut single, 2000’s “Last Resort.” Ahead of the latter, Papa Roach hit a nu-metal medley celebrating classic tracks from System of a Down, Deftones and more.

The onstage tag team was actually Underwood’s second show of the night, as she’s currently undertaking her own “Reflection” residency at the nearby Resorts World Theatre.

“Still in disbelief over this one. On Saturday, after my Reflection show, we changed my clothes, dried my hair and headed over to catch the @paparoach show down the street,” Underwood wrote over Instagram. “Not only did I get to perform ‘Leave a Light On’ with them, but I got called BACK out to do ‘Last Resort,’ because, why not?!”

She continued: “Oh, and they told me that our song went GOLD, which is amazing because it’s raising money for a great cause! These guys are the real deal. 25 years of melting faces and I know they’ve got more work to do! What a great show!”

You’ll find fan-shot footage of Papa Underwood up above and down below.

As for Papa Roach, the band’s “Rise of the Roach” co-headline tour with Rise Against continues tonight (April 7th) at Denver, Colorado’s Ball Arena. You’ll find the rest of their joint schedule here.
