Revolver’s new Ice Nine Kills collector’s edition tells the story of how Charnas, a gore-obsessed Massachusetts kid, brought to life the horror-metal mutant monster known as Ice Nine Kills. The special issue covers the band’s ska-punk origins, their breakthrough with The Silver Scream, the creation of their own horror convention Silver Scream Con, and more, and it includes interviews with some of Charnas’ biggest “INKfluences” such as horror icons Bill Moseley, Kane Hodder and Joe Bob Briggs.
Thicker than a standard issue of Revolver, the deluxe magazine comes in three collectible covers — complete with embossed type and UV coating— featuring stunning new photography by F. Scott Schafer that pays homage to The Shining, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream.
In addition to the collector’s issue, Revolver also has exclusive, limited-edition colored vinyl pressings of all six of Ice Nine Kills’ studio albums — including 2006’s Last Chance to Make Amends (with a previously unreleased bonus track) and 2010’s Safe Is Just a Shadow, both of which have never been on vinyl before.
