Though Maynard James Keenan and the rest of Puscifer are gearing up to preview tunes from their next album at a pair of “very special” concerts, the experimental rock outfit are also celebrating their back catalogue this summer through the issuing of a new, digital-only retrospective release.
Today (July 28th), the band put their In Case You Were Napping collection onto streamers. The 15-song showcase compiles cuts from all four of Puscifer’s studio full-lengths — 2007’s V is for V… , 2011’s Conditions of My Parole, 2015’s Money Shot and 2020’s Existential Reckoning —as well as material from their various EPs, remixes and more.
Described as a primer to Puscifer and a celebration of the act’s “nearly two decade recorded legacy of boundary-pushing music,” In Case You Were Napping features cuts like the Milla Jovovich-featuring “The Mission – M Is For Milla Mix” and Sessanta tour closer, “Grand Canyon.”
The retrospective is out now via Puscifer Entertainment/Alchemy Recordings/BMG, and you’ll find the cover art and tracklisting down below.
As previously reported, Puscifer are set to perform back-to-back shows at L.A.’s Exchange venue on August 11th, with each performance expected to unveil music from a forthcoming . The band also teased that the new songs will be “performed live in the most intimate shows we’ve ever done.”
While the evening show has since sold out, tickets are still available for the 5 p.m. PT performance. You can find out more info here.
