Coming off the release of her recent “Unravel” single, Poppy has now unraveled the details on her next full-length album project. She puts her Empty Hands into our mitts next January, though she’s previewing the collection ahead of time with another new tune: “Bruised Sky.”
A press release explains that Poppy’s seventh album was once again produced by former Bring Me the Horizon member Jordan Fish, who she’d worked with on 2024’s Negative Spaces. The upcoming 13-track album is said to keep blurring the lines between metal and avant-pop, while likewise “cementing [Poppy’s] status as a rising visionary within the rock genre.”
While the full tracklisting details have yet to be unveiled, you can check out, among other things, the whispered intrigue, monster screams and elastic-snapping bass tones of Poppy’s worldbuilding “Bruised Sky” single via the video up above. Last month’s “Unravel” single is also on the LP.
Poppy’s Empty Hands is out January 23rd via Sumerian Records. A pre-order for the LP on exclusive “Hot Pink & Bone”-colored vinyl, limited to 500 copies, is up now over in Revolver’s shop. Poppy also launches her “Constantly Nowhere” tour of Europe and Australia early next year, which will find her directly supported by nu-groovers Ocean Grove, while Aussies Inertia and Colorado rap-rockers Fox Lake will appear on select dates. Those tour details can be found here.
