Coming off Poppy’s recent metalcore-spiked “they’re all around us” single, the genre-blurring artist has official revealed some details behind her next album, Negative Spaces. The record, which expands upon Poppy’s recent work with producer/former Bring Me the Horizon member Jordan Fish, is out November 15th via Sumerian Records.
While the full tracklisting has yet to arrive, a press release notes that Poppy’s sixth studio full-length will continue to widen her sonic palette, with she and Fish apparently also “mirror-balling through delicately-delivered pop, full bodied screams, synth-symbiotic ‘80s retro-futurism, and energy-jolted ‘00s pop-punk.”
It’s added that Negative Spaces stands as a work from “an ever-evolving artist redefining their legacy one song at a time, with a welcome understanding that there’s still so much inspiration to be found in the margins yet to be explored, deep within the negative spaces.”

In addition to the recent “they’re all around us” single, which will be on the LP, Poppy delivered her industrialized “New Way Out” single with Fish in the spring. Likewise, 2024 also saw Poppy collaborating with Bad Omens on their “V.A.N.” single, and then putting in a hardcore guest spot on Knocked Loose’s “Suffocate.”
Poppy is also set to appear at next month’s Mayhem Festival, which takes place at San Bernadino, CA’s Glen Helen Amphitheater on October 11th. You can read more about the return of Mayhem in Revolver’s fall issue, which you can order here.
