The Sick New World festival is returning for year three in 2025 and it’s already shaping up to be pretty epic, what with Metallica and Linkin Park now confirmed to be headlining the Las Vegas extravaganza.
This morning (October 15th), organizers unveiled plans for the next installment of Sick New World, which will be returning to Sin City’s Las Vegas Festival Grounds on April 12th. Beyond ‘Tallica and the reunited Linkin Park, the event will host more than 50 other bands from the worlds of metal, nu-metal, goth, hard rock and more.
So far, we know that other veteran acts coming out for the show include Queens of the Stone Age, Evanescence, Gojira, AFI, Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway, Meshuggah, Cradle of Filth and more.
On the metal side of things, the fest will also host sets from Kittie, Carcass, Down, Arch Enemy, Cannibal Corpse, Testament, Exodus, Lacuna Coil, Napalm Death, Mayhem, System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian’s Seven Hours After Violet and more. The hardcore presence includes Terror, Quicksand, Scowl, Refused, Underoath and more, while rising artists like nu-infused singer Amira Elfeky are also set to appear.
It’s likewise been revealed that cult sludge group Acid Bath are set to reunite at Sick New World for their first performance since 1997. Earlier this week, the band’s Dax Riggs released his first solo music in more than a decade.
Pre-sales for the one-day fest go on sale Friday morning (October 18th) at 10 a.m. PST, but you’ll need to sign up for an SMS list over on the Sick New World site to get the passcode. General ticket sales go on sale later that day, at 2 p.m. PST.
