It’s been a wild month for Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen. Last week, she was bit by a poisonous spider in Mexico while her band was on tour with AC/DC. This week, she spent a night in the ER before closing out the tour with her bandmates.
Today (April 17th), she’s delivered the next single behind the Pretty Reckless’ Dear God album, a depression-pondering piece called “Love Me.”
A press release finds Momsen explaining that “Love Me” — which follows last month’s bacchanalian “When I Wake Up” single and video — comes “from a place I didn’t want to admit I was in,” with its lyrics hinting at obsession, betrayal, dejection and being “enslaved” by one’s mind.
“There’s this moment in your life where you’re so hollowed out that you start bargaining with God, not even for happiness, just for proof that someone sees you,” Momsen relates, “That’s what this song is.”
She adds: “It’s not pretty. It’s not wrapped up. It’s just a raw, ugly need and I think that’s exactly why people connect with it.”
The song starts with brooding acousti-grunge chord choices, running with a quiet-loud-quiet motif as Momsen pours herself into the inner-pain exploring performance (“I just need someone to want me / Why doesn’t anyone care”).
The Pretty Reckless’ Dear God sees release June 26th via Fearless Records. An exclusive, limited-edition vinyl pressing of the album on “Tan Smoke”-tinted wax is currently up for pre-order in Revolver’s shop.
Momsen stars on two editions of Revolver’s Spring 2026 issue, including a standard edition and a deluxe issue with alternate artwork that comes inside a numbered slipcase. The latter is available in a Dear God super bundle along with a double-vinyl pressing of the Pretty Reckless’ latest album on “Tan Smoke” wax (limited to 500 copies),
