Hear POPPY’s massive new anthem “Unravel”

Last week, Poppy unwrapped her cover of Wham!’s “Last Christmas” as an early holiday treat. Now, the genre-jumping phenom is unraveling the latest piece of her own songbook — which, fittingly enough, is titled “Unravel.”

While Poppy’s had a productive 2025 — between her collaborative “End of You” single with Amy Lee and Courtney LaPlante, the “From Me to U” team-up with BABYMETAL, and multiple legs of her “They’re All Around Us” tour — “Unraveled” marks the artist’s first original track since the release of last year’s Negative Spaces album. Like that album, “Unravel” was produced by former Bring Me the Horizon member Jordan Fish.

Poppy teased the song in a brief Instagram video that found her acrobatically spiraling around upside down on a trapeze. A huge, pop-rock chorus has her singing of a “silence in the shadows” and a conflicted relationship (“Lift me up to tear me right back down again”). The full song reveals twitchy breakbeats, back-masked production elements and blue-faced lyrical allusions. While it mostly plays as a pop-forward piece, Poppy does bring the pain with a serious set of screams in a late song breakdown.

You can now check out the song in full via the video up above, which was directed by longtime visual collaborator Sam Cannon. “Unravel” is also on streamers now via Sumerian Records.

While Poppy recently wrapped up her North American headlining tour, she heads to South America this weekend to join Linkin Park’s ongoing “FROM ZERO World Tour.” The date breakdown can be found here.
