ONI have worked with everyone from Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe and Mark Morton to trap-metal duo City Morgue to Iggy fucking Pop in the past. Now, in the continued spirit of collaboration, the Canadian hard-rock and metal project has teamed with rapper, singer and songwriter lil aaron on the band’s latest single, the Linkin Park-esque exorcism “Walk Away.”
“‘Walk Away’ is about doing things on your own and not needing anyone to help,” Jake Oni commented. “It’s about cutting out the people in your life that don’t deserve to be there. It was great collaborating with lil aaron on this track — he’s such a great song writer and we’ve become close since.”
lil aaron added: “I loved working with ONI and his crew. The vibe came super easy and next thing u know we had a banger on our hands.”
ONI is currently closing out the final dates of their tour with Crown the Empire before jumping on the road this fall with Pop Evil and Bad Wolves. Tickets are available for purchase now.
