MARILYN MANSON debuts first new song since abuse accusations “As Sick as the Secrets Within”

After delivering a teaser video earlier in the year, Marilyn Manson has officially returned with a comeback single called “As Sick as the Secrets Within” and an accompanying music video.

The track is Manson’s first song to be delivered through the singer’s new label home Nuclear Blast Records, and arrives nearly four years after the musician’s last album, 2020’s We Are Chaos. The video was directed by the shock rocker’s longtime visual collaborator Bill Yukich, who has helmed numerous Manson clips, including “KILL4YOU,” “Tattooed in Reverse” and “SAY10,” as well as visuals for Ghost, Shinedown and others.

“‘As Sick as the Secrets Within’ is a personal look into my life and I’m proud to be able to share my art and vision with you,” Manson wrote of the song in an Instagram post.

Manson is attempting a comeback after being accused by numerous women of sexual abuse in early 2021, including Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood. Manson has denied the allegations made against him, but embroiled in a series of court battles — many of which have since been settled or dismissed — he hasn’t released any music since We Are Chaos or played a show since 2019.

The latter changes tonight (August 2nd) as Manson will kick off a tour as direct support for Five Finger Death Punch at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The trek also features Slaughter to Prevail.
