Sheffield, UK metalcore menaces Malevolence are set to hit us with a number of truthbombs via the release of their upcoming, and Lamb of God-featuring album, Where Only the Truth is Spoken. While the full-length arrives in full this summer, they’re previewing the release with a heist-style video for first single “If It’s All the Same to You.”
The new video begins with a lengthy, dramatic intro starring UK actor Alan Ford (Snatch), who walks the members of Malevolence through a make-or-break job — “the kind of job that makes men.” From there, the band set off an art heist that has them hacking computers, slipping through laser-heavy security systems and evading cops in a high-speed chase.
Musically, the track batters through slickly-shredded thrash riffs, hard-shouted hardcore vocals and an anthemically Castrol-gluggin’ chorus that sports some super-raspy melodies.

As for the record, Malevolence left the UK to track Where Only the Truth is Spoken at Dave Grohl’s famed 606 Studios in Los Angeles, California with producer Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Gojira, Trivium). They recorded the LP using the same Neve console that was used on Nirvana’s Nevermind, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours and other classics.
When it comes to their own record, the band noted in a joint statement that the follow-up to 2022’s Malicious Intent is “a level up in every sense—musically, lyrically, and visually.” Its songs are said to cover “honesty, loyalty, and integrity,” altogether reflecting the “unshakable brotherhood that have carried [Malevolence] this far.”
“The story behind each song comes from lived experiences rather than just meaningless words on the page,” vocalist Alex Taylor added. “It’s not all just about anger or aggression; there’s a lot of weight in the words across the whole album, whether that’s addressing personal struggles, the state of the world, or the highs and lows of life.”
That brotherhood, it turns out, includes Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe, who contributed vocals to the album’s “In Spite.” His guest spot repays the band in kind, considering Taylor had previously hopped on a 2024 redux of Ashes of the Wake-era Lamb of God song “Another Nail for Your Coffin” for a deluxe edition of that album.
Malevolence’s Where Only the Truth is Spoken, meanwhile, will be released June 20th via MLVLTD / Nuclear Blast Records. Pre-orders can be found here, while the tracklisting and cover art is down below.
