Linkin Park have offered up another in-the-red and anthemic preview from the upcoming deluxe version of their comeback LP, FROM ZERO. This time, they’re picking up the pieces with a percussive, pop-rock number called “Unshatter.”
The song begins with an on-the-beat snare choppiness and an almost garage-rockin’ stop-start guitar riff, but Miske Shinoda quickly rips into the mic with his signature rap-style pacing. Emily Armstrong is a beast across the track, unfurling a series of raspy-yet-melodic cries and tons of aggro vocal fry.
“‘Unshatter’ was an early track we made while recording From Zero,” Shinoda explained in a statement. “Emily’s huge vocal in the bridge was one of the moments that gave us an indication of what was possible together.”

Linkin Park resume their FROM ZERO world tour tomorrow (April 26th) at Austin, Texas’ Moody Center. The night may well be the first time the band perform either “Unshatter” or preceding single “Up From the Bottom” on-stage.
