Nu-metal icons Kittie recently spit-shined a chunk of classic tunes from their debut album, Spit, for a celebratory 25th anniversary project. While their Spit XXV EP is out in full tomorrow (September 19th), the Canadian quartet are highlighting a heavy redo of “Do You Think I’m a Whore?” in advance via a new music video.
“Do You Think I’m a Whore? XXV” taps into the spirit of 2000 with percussive, dark-spiraling riffage, while vocalist-guitarist Morgan Lander sounds as furious as ever with her introspective screams on the piece. “This song has always been the dark horse of our debut album and it is was such a pleasure to give it the updated treatment and celebrate how awesome of a song it really is,” Lander wrote in a statement.

As previously reported, Kittie’s Spit XXV EP is being released through Sumerian Records. The collection re-teamed the band with producer Garth “GGGarth” Richardson, who produced the original album in 1999.
“Reimagining some of these classic songs for the 25th anniversary of Spit was a lot of fun and a true testament to their longevity,” Morgan Lander had said previously. “It reveals just how relevant in the musical landscape they still are today.”
The Spit XXV EP follows last year’s Fire — which was Kittie’s first album of new material in 13 years.
