Kittie have unveiled a spit-shined remix of their classic “Spit,” which was twitched and tweaked by Code Orange members Jami Morgan and Shade Balderose’s electronic project, NOWHERE2RUN.
The remix arrives a few months on from Kittie’s Spit XXV EP, which found the Canadian act reimaging key cuts from their nu-metal landmark, Spit, for its 25th anniversary.
Now, Morgan and Balderose are bringing us back to the turn of the century with their retro-breakbeating redux, which also digitally dirties up Morgan Lander’s furious vocal performance.
Full of jungle-style snare-papping, groovy nu riffs, glitchy vocal effects and psychedelic digitalisms, the genre-slamming throwback remix hearkens back to an era when soundtracks started booking Crystal Method, DMX and Ozzy on the same track.
