Just over a year-on from the release of Better Lovers’ debut album, Highly Irresponsible, the hardcore supergroup have issued a deluxe edition sporting a pair of raging bonus cuts, including the newly unveiled “The Impossible End.”
The deluxe edition of the LP was issued to streamers today (November 14th) and includes the “Don’t Forget to Say Please” track that dropped in September. As for “The Impossible End,” Better Lovers tee this one off with all-gnarled metalcore descension and brick-batted drum hits, while vocalist Greg Puciato spits pure venom over the thought of someone stewing in their stagnation (“stay crippled and tied to the past / heels dug to a grave”).
The song also sports pitch-shifter guitar licks and groovy melodicism, as well as some soaring vocal work in the chorus. You can sample it all via the explosive visualizer up above.
Better Lovers’ Highly Irresponsible Deluxe Edition is on streamers now via SharpTone, and various color vinyl variants are up for order on the band’s website.
As previously reported, Better Lovers are closing out 2025 with a North American tour. The trip began last night (November 13th) in Greensboro, North Carolina and is set to hit the 40 Watt club in Athens, Georgia tonight (November 14th).
Better Lovers will be supported throughout by Soul Blind, Johnny Booth and Hong Kong Fuck You, while Atomic Rule —featuring Every Time I Die’s Andy Williams on guitar — opens for the next two nights.
