Two monolithic modern prog perfectors are joining forces next spring, with Coheed and Cambria and Mastodon confirming that they’ll be heading out on a 2025 North American co-headlining tour.
News of the proggy team-up arrived via both bands this morning (December 10th), which indeed confirms that “The Infinite Arc tour” finds the two much-loved quartets heading out on the road together next May for a 21-show stretch across North America. Coheed and Mastodon will also be joined on the full trip by veteran djentlemen Periphery.
This all begins May 10th at Salem, Virginia’s Civic Center, and caps just under a month later at Waukee, Iowa’s Vibrant Music Hall on June 8th. Artist pre-sales are set to go live this Wednesday (December 11th), while tickets will be released to the general public by Friday (December 13th). You’ll find more info over here.
As previously reported, before Coheed and Mastodon connect for their co-headlining trek, both bands will be heading to the Dominican Republic to perform at TOOL’s in augural “TOOL in the Sand” destination festival. And next November, Coheed set sail for their “SS Neverender” cruise, which also features L.S. Dunes, Zulu and more.
Coheed and Cambria likewise celebrate the arrival of their next Amory Wars-themed album in 2025, with their The Father of Make Believe set to hit stores and streamers March 14th via Virgin Music Group.
Mastodon, meanwhile, recently rang out the 15th anniversary of Crack the Skye with a big box set release, and likewise delivered the “Floods of Triton” collaborative single with Lamb of God shortly after those two bands wrapped their summertime “Ashes of Leviathan” tour.
