Diablo — Blizzard’s genre-defining hellspawn of an action RPG — has joined forces with Berserk, the late Kentaro Miura’s legendary manga drenched in violence and vengeance, and Beast in Black, the Finnish power-metal warlords with a flair for the theatrical. The result? A demonic crossover complete with with a brand-new song, “Enter the Behelit,” and a limited-edition vinyl release.
The track, forged exclusively for Diablo IV and Diablo Immortal, draws heavy blood from the mythos of Berserk, channeled through Beast in Black’s sonic arsenal. Dropping digitally April 28th, the maxi-single also includes recharged versions of fan favorites “Die by the Blade” and “The Fifth Angel.” The song also arrived accompanied by a high-octane music video directed by Katri Ilona Koppanen that drags the infernal landscapes of Diablo and Berserk into the band’s gothic-metal universe.
Beast in Black mastermind Anton Kabanen commented: “To somewhat poetically reflect on this extraordinary yet congruous collaboration I can say it feels almost as if this newborn and destined-to-be trinity has been designed by the God Hand itself. On behalf of Beast in Black’s team I express our sincerest gratitude to the dedicated teams at Blizzard, Berserk and Nuclear Blast. Thank you for making this happen. As for the vinyl release, only 200 lathe-cut copies of a black-and-red marbled wax pressing will be released, featuring artwork inspired by both Diablo IV and Immortal. Each comes with a custom turntable zoetrope slipmat, concept art and exclusive stickers.
Meanwhile, Diablo IV kicks off Season 8: Belial’s Return on April 29th, with Berserk-inspired elements throughout.
