The lineup for this year’s Louder Than Life is finally here.
After confirming last fall that Slayer would be one the headliners at the 2025 event, it’s now been revealed that the weekend fest will also feature top-of-the-marquee appearances from metal and rock royalty including Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, Bring Me the Horizon, Rob Zombie and more.
News of the lineup was officially revealed today (February 26th), with it being confirmed by fest-planners that more than 160 bands will be hitting Louisville, Kentucky’s Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center between September 18-21st.
The first night of festivities will feature the long-awaited Louder Than Life performance from Slayer, who had to back out of the 2024 edition due to inclement weather conditions caused by Hurricane Helene. The mainstage will also feature appearances from Lamb of God, Down, Carcass and Cavalera.
Rob Zombie, meanwhile, will be headlining another stage to perform White Zombie’s legendary Astro-Creep: 2000 album in full, to celebrate the record’s 30th anniversary. The grounds will also host sets from Cannibal Corpse, Marilyn Manson, Exodus, Lorna Shore, Drain, Kublai Khan TX and many more.
The Friday night headliner is Avenged Sevenfold, though the day also has sets from Breaking Benjamin, Mudvayne, Sleep Token, Spiritbox, Dream Theater, Powerwolf, Hatebreed, Whitechapel and more.
On Saturday, the main stage has Deftones, A Perfect Circle, Failure, Stone Temple Pilots, the reunited Acid Bath, and more. Elsewhere, you’ve got sets from Bad Omens, Trivium, Machine Head, Kittie, letlive, Motionless in White and more.
Finally, the Sunday night finale will be headlined by Bring Me the Horizon, though Evanescence, Knocked Loose, $uicideboy$, Bruce Dickinson, Dillinger Escape Plan, Three Days Grace, Wage War, Wargasm, Amira Elfeky and more will also be there to perform.
The weekend also hosts additional special reunions from Chimaira, Chiodos, Crossfade, From First to Last, Snot, Spineshank and Winds of Plague, as well as a “farewell” performance from Insane Clown Posse.
“Louder Than Life has always been about showcasing the future of rock and heavy music while honoring the legends who paved the way,” show promoter Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents said in a statement. “Bands like Bring Me the Horizon, Sleep Token, Bad Omens, $uicideboy$, Motionless In White, Spiritbox, I Prevail, Slaughter To Prevail, Lorna Shore, Wage War, Dayseeker, and Knocked Loose aren’t just performing—they’re defining the next generation of headliners.”
He continued: “At the same time, pioneers like Slayer, Deftones, A Perfect Circle, and Avenged Sevenfold have set the standard, proving that this music is always evolving. This is where the past, present, and future of heavy music collide.”
