Description
LABEL: Revelation Records
While named after the chorus of a Misfits song, Texas is the Reason represented a bold, melodic path forward for New York post-hardcore when the quartet debuted in the mid-Nineties. Comprising ex-members of Shelter, 108 and more, they harnessed heavy-swung rhythms and wall-leveling riffs, no doubt. But vocalist-guitarist Garrett Klahn also injected every song with heart-on-your-sleeve earnestness, a tuneful quality that made TITR contemporaries of both Quicksand and rising emo artists like the Promise Ring. Initially released as a 7-inch in 1995, their debut release has been upgraded to a 12-inch EP, and now features a bonus track.
Track Listing:
1. If It's Here When We Get Back It's Ours
2. Something To Forget (Version 1) (bonus track)
3. Dressing Cold
4. Antique
