Description
Pantera singer Philip Anselmo and Eyehategod’s Jimmy Bower already co-founded a killer supergroup in the mid-Nineties (NOLA sludge unit Down), but in the early 2000s they did it again with Superjoint Ritual. Their fire-breathing 2002 debut, Use Once and Destroy, finds a wonderfully evil middleground between ripping hardcore of the Poison Idea variety and the type of boiling, Southern-metal sludginess that both musicians excelled at in their other bands. Get it on vinyl and use many times — no destruction needed.
To celebrate the milestone, Revolver is reissuing the record, as well as its follow-up, 2003's A Lethal Dose, on limited-edition vinyl, including a deluxe two-album bundle with a die-cut, hand-numbered slipcase.
