Don’t let its lovably over-the-top and dated cover art fool you: Overkill’s 1987 sophomore is a truly formidable thrash classic. Featuring hard-knockers like “Wrecking Crew” and “Deny the Cross,” the New York band managed to simultaneously pull from the hardcore that was happening around them and the glammy highs of NWOBHM to create a distinctly fun and frenzied take on thrash, which was already becoming darker, heavier and proggier elsewhere in the country. This bad-boy sounds and looks great on 180g vinyl.
