Description
Release Date: April 4, 2006
A legendary, transitional and game-changing release, 2000’s New American Gospel is the first formal album from Lamb of God, following a self-titled release as Burn the Priest. The record scorches the speakers with savage, uncompromising fury, whether leaning into blistering thrash rhythms, nail-fisted grooves or demonic mic attacks from godhead vocalist Randy Blythe. It’s also LOG’s first record to feature guitarist Willie Adler, who locks into a vicious tandem with Mark Morton on heavy classics like “Black Label.” Praise the Gospel through this new “Black with White & Gold Splatter” vinyl pressing.
Prosthetic Records remastered and reissued New American Gospel in 2006 with four bonus tracks. The remastered version contains a note on the inlay that explains why the sound of the album is less polished than their newer work. It has sold over 100,000 copies in the United States.
