Entombed viciously slice-and-dice their way through this 1994 death ‘n’ roll classic. While the most blistering moments of the quintet’s third album (see opening “Eyemaster”) continued to find them walking Swedish death metal’s left-hand path, fist-pumping anthems like “Hollowman” and the titular “Wolverine Blues” ground themselves towards meatier grooves on par with peak-period Pantera. The album marked the return of vocalist L.G. Petrov, following a one-album sabbatical, and his howls elevate the LP’s ferocious attack. Repressed on bloodletting “white with red-and-black splatter” vinyl.
