Deftones are a band with almost zero bad album covers — from the controversial yet iconic Around the Fur shot of a young woman partying, to the breathtaking flock of colorful birds on 2016’s Gore. All of them do justice to the band’s visceral and otherworldly music, but the white barn owl posing mid-flight on their 2010 album, Diamond Eyes, might be their most striking. It’s also one of the band’s greatest works, making it a vinyl gimme.
