Into the Pandemonium is Celtic Frost’s second of two genre-defining albums that they unleashed in the 1980s. Following 1985’s thrashier To Mega Therion, Pandemonium is a stark musical departure that ventures into industrial, doom, and other downright bizarre metal stylings that had never before collided in the way they did here. Opening with an oddly well-done cover of “Mexican Radio” by L.A. new-wavers Wall of Voodoo, Tom G. Warrior and Co. only get darker, grimmer and heavier as the record goes on.
