Description
Butthole Surfers cannonball through the cranium with their unendingly bizarre and thudding third album, Locust Abortion Technician. The group left Texas to self-record the album at a rental home in Georgia, their drugged-out home studio experiments playing out as a surreal journey through acid casualty hardcore, psychedelic tape-manipulations, world music-sampling exotica, junkyard blues-punk and their Satanically screwy opening Sabbath goof, “Sweet Loaf.” A late Eighties classic praised by Kurt Cobain, referenced in Red Hot Chili Peppers songs and covered by the Melvins, Locust Abortion Technician was remastered in 2024 for this vinyl repress.
