The world seemed to be against Black Sabbath in 1975 — or at least it felt that way, as it was a contentious year that found the band sued by their former management team and feeling the pinch over animpending legal battle. Sabbath channel raw feelings of anger and resentment throughout the aptly-titled Sabotage, a record where brawny beaters like “Hole in the Sky” and “Symptom of the Universe” groove a little more on-edge. And yet, it’s a masterful doomcasting, each awesome Iommi lick and Ozzy wail revealing that despite the outside challenges, musically they were “living easy where the sun doesn't shine.”
