Zakk Wylde initially brought five of 1919 Eternal’s songs to the sessions for Ozzy Osbourne’s Down to Earth LP. The Prince of Darkness ultimately passed, but this meant that Wylde was able to bring anthemic crushers like “Bleed for Me” back to his Doom Crew. Delivered with a nasty, signature Southern swampiness, songs like “Graveyard Disciples” and “Demise of Sanity” proved that Wylde was still one of metal’s greatest lords of destruction, yet he also brought a wah-screaming sensitivity to his fluid leadwork on mournful ballad “Bridge to Cross.” An everlasting testament to Wylde’s fretboard abilities, 1919 Eternal is available as a double LP on awesome “Opaque Purple” vinyl.

1919 Eternal is the third full-length album from Black Label Society. A handful of the songs on 1919 Eternal were originally written for Ozzy Osbourne's album Down To Earth.
