A Day to Remember’s 2007 Victory Records debut, For Those Who Have Heart, is no less than a total game-changer. The band’s seamless merging of muscular hardcore breakdowns and hugely catchy pop-punk choruses had been done before, but not as cohesively and convincingly as the Ocala, FL, band did here. Songs like “The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle,” “Monument” and “A Shot in the Dark” became Warped Tour anthems, and 15-plus years later, this remains ADTR’s heaviest album.
