YOSHIKI to make Paris Fashion Week debut with MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS collection

YOSHIKI — the leader of beloved Japanese band X JAPAN and celebrated composer — will debut MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS, the global superstar’s latest ready-to-wear collection, at Paris Fashion Week on September 30th at Palais de Chaillot. Celebrities including actress Rebel Wilson and streetwear legend Hiroshi Fujiwara are confirmed to attend.

Earlier this year, YOSHIKI unveiled MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS at Milan Fashion Week to rave reviews. Vogue said of the collection, “At MAISON YOSHIKI, modern tailoring and hard-edge details make perfect harmony.” FAB UK called it “cutting-edge,” and Rain Magazine hailed it as representing “a new era in fashion.” Video of the dramatic runway show in Milan has been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube.

YOSHIKI’s Paris Fashion Week show is just the latest event in a packed schedule, including a series of sold-out dinner shows in Japan last month and recording sessions in his Los Angeles studio for several upcoming releases such as the highly-anticipated international theme song to celebrate Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary.

Earlier this week, YOSHIKI performed at the Atlantic Council’s Global Citizen Awards in New York, as a special guest of honoree Miky Lee, Vice Chairwoman of CJ Group, who also notably served as Executive Producer of the Oscar-winning movie Parasite and Oscar-nominated movie Past Lives. YOSHIKI played the chart-topping X JAPAN song “Endless Rain” solo on piano in front of an audience of industry and government leaders, including DreamWorks SKG co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and Pachinko author Min Jin Lee.

The prestigious event, which was held during the 2024 United Nations General Assembly, will be broadcast starting Thursday, October 3rd, at 9 a.m. ET at AtlanticCouncil.org.
