Hard to believe, but the Used will be celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2025. To mark the occasion, the Utah-formed group will be toasting their post-hardcore and alt-rock-flavored history through a series of three-night stands that will find them performing a different classic album each night.
The Used officially confirmed their 2025 tour plans this morning (December 9th), noting that they’ll be hitting nine North American cities next spring for back-to-back-to-back appearances. Each city will see the band performing their 2002 self-titled debut, 2004’s In Love and Death and 2007’s Lies for the Liars in full, depending on the night.
This all begins April 3-6 at Detroit, Michigan’s Fillmore venue, and then heads out westward for a grand finale at San Diego, California’s House of Blues May 13-16.
“These first three records are what put The Used on the map,” vocalist Bert McCracken said in a statement. “I can’t wait to experience the joy in playing all three records from front to back. I know it will be an amazing time. I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Sending love to you all and I hope to see you there!”
Bassist Jepha Howard added: “We feel extremely lucky and humbled to have been a part of something way bigger than ourselves for the past 25 years. To everyone that has been there from the beginning or is just starting out your adventure with us thank you. Here’s to the next 25!”
Arist and LiveNation pre-sales for all shows begin on Wednesday (December 11th), while a secondary Spotify and local pre-sale goes up the following day, and general ticket sales go live on Friday (December 13th). While the Used will be celebrating their early catalogue next year, 2024 found the band delivering their tenth studio full-length, Medz, which comprised songs recorded during the same sessions as their 2023 release, Toxic Positivity.
