It’s not even winter yet, but we’re already looking forward to “Metalcore Spring Break” — the upcoming package tour headlined by The Devil Wears Prada, and featuring supporting slots from ERRA, Kingdom of Giants and Acres.
TDWP confirmed their next trek this morning (December 10th), noting that they’ll be topping the bill for a 20-show run of dates with their metalcore brethren. It all begins April 17th at Wichita, Kansas’ Temple Live venue, and caps May 14th at Charleston, South Carolina’s Charleston Music Hall.
“This tour is going to be a full-blown celebration of metalcore gone wild,” TDWP said in a group statement. “It’s going to be massive energy, insane production, and a setlist with all the hits and some surprises you won’t want to miss. We’re pulling out all the stops to make this a show you will NEVER forget — it’s party time!”
Tickets for the “Metalcore Spring Break Tour” go up for sale this coming Friday (December 13th) at 10 a.m. local time. You’ll find TDWP’s full tour schedule — which likewise includes additional festival appearances at Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville — down below.
In other news, TDWP celebrated the fifth anniversary of their “Chemical” single last week by dropping a stripped-down acoustic version of the song — which had originally appeared on their 2019 full-length, The Act.
The band added that this “special” version “lays bare the raw emotion and meaning behind the song.” They’d been performing the song this way throughout their recent fall U.S. tour, but you can hear the unplugged studio recording up above.
