Has it been a while since you’ve seen Staind in concert? Well, you can break the cycle by checking out the nu-rock mainstays this summer when they launch their celebratory 25th anniversary tour behind their smash 2001 release, Break the Cycle.
The band announced the anniversary tour today (February 3rd). While Staind have a handful of one-offs and festival appearances on the board this spring, the “Break the Cycle 25th Anniversary Tour” launches in earnest September 8th at the Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Georgia.
The nearly six-week run will also feature support on most dates from fellow rockers Seether, well-reasoned rock outfit Hoobastank and lip-kissers Hinder.
Released in the spring of 2001, Break the Cycle was Staind’s third full-length release since their formation in 1995. The album yielded the top 5 hit “It’s Been Awhile,” but likewise features Billboard-charting singles “Fade,” “For You,” “Prince to Pay,” “So Far Away” and “Right Here.”
“25 years later to be touring, celebrating this album and bringing our music to our fans near and far is something really special,” founding vocalist Aaron Lewis wrote in a statement, adding of linking up with the other acts, “I’m looking forward to going out with these guys. It’s like one big family reunion!”
Guitarist Mike Mushok added: “Hard to believe it’s been 25 years. I look back on those times as one of the highlights of my career and feel very fortunate to still be doing this. I look forward to hitting the road and celebrating with good friends what was a career defining album for us. I hope you can join us on this celebration.”
Pre-sales for the newly unveiled headlining dates are available starting tomorrow (February 4th) at 10 a.m. local time. The general on-sale begins on Friday (February 6th).
