Get ready for a flood of new Spiritbox tunes. Coming off their recent “Soft Spine” single, the progressively-djented metal faves have finally announced the full details of their forthcoming sophomore full-length, Tsunami Sea.
Spiritbox’s second album is due March 7th via Pale Chord/Rise Records, and will indeed feature the band’s most recent single, along with 10 more tracks. This includes brand new single “Perfect Soul,” a chunky but melodically-charged anthem that finds vocalist Courtney LaPlante homing in on the more harmonic side of her versatile voice.
You can check out the track down below, while a music video directed by Dylan Hryciuk at Versa Films premieres at 3 p.m. ET. In it, LaPlante “searches the afterlife, surrounded by ghostly figures and a grotesque, barnacle-covered creature,” as the rest of the band plays the tune. The player for the upcoming vid is likewise down below.
Tsunami Sea was produced by Dan Braunstein and Mike Stringer, mixed by Zakk Cervini and mastered by Ted Jensen. The record follows 2023’s The Fear of Fear EP, which recently yielded Spiritbox their second Best Metal Performance Grammy nomination, for that release’s “Cellar Door.”
Spiritbox close out the year with a pair of performances in Brazil and Mexico, alongside Bring Me the Horizon. They then head out on a European headline tour in February, and have a handful of European dates opening up for Linkin Park in June.
