Snot started recording new music in 2025, and the reunited nu-metal favorites have confirmed that an album is on the way in 2027, via their current label home: BLKIIBLK Records.
News of the signing was delivered by the band and label today (August 20th), with the partnership set to produce the first Snot full-length since 2000’s Strait Up project. This will also be their debut release with vocalist Andy Knapp — who played his first show with the band in early 2025.
“I am beyond thrilled to announce Snot’s signing with BLKIIBLK,” guitarist Mikey Doling said in a statement. “From my very first conversation with [A&R head] Mike Gitter, it was clear that the team at BLKIIBLK and Snot were a perfect fit. They truly believe in what we’re doing, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.
“We’re proud to be joining the Frontiers/BLKIIBLK family. I’ve got my sunglasses on because the future is so bright! We’re fired up to bring the new Snot songs we’ve been working on to our fans around the world. This is just the beginning!”
Details are reasonably slim beyond this, but it’s added that the group are expected to issue a single in early 2026 to both promote the new album and line-up with 30th anniversary celebrations of Snot’s 1997 debut, Get Some.
As previously reported, Snot had first entered Dead End Studios in Palm Desert, California, with producer, engineer and mixer Chris Collier (Korn, Prong) to track two “brand new songs,” which have yet to be released. It’s now added that songwriting sessions continue.
Snot’s current line-up comprises Doling, Knapp, bassist John Fahnestock and drummer Jamie Miller, while former Bad Wolves member Doc Coyle has been enlisted as a live guitarist. Snot’s next scheduled live appearance is a set at the upcoming Fort Worth, Texas, edition of Sick New World, which takes place October 24th.
“BLKIIBLK isn’t merely just proud to be working with Snot but, more importantly, to be part of fulfilling a legacy that has only intensified as time has gone by,” Gitter adds of the signing.
