Slipknot are bringing the heat like never before.
As part of First We Feast’s long-running, pepper-sauce-glugging Hot Ones series, the band’s Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan opted to go head-to-head for the “Hot Ones Versus” challenge, daring each other to face the wrath of several million scovilles along the way.
Throughout the truth-or-dare-styled talk, Taylor asks Crahan to rank the masks of other musicians, which leads the Clown to giving French robots Daft Punk a failing grade, but full marks to GWAR’s horned-and-horny frontman Blöthar the Berserker. But when Crahan faces Taylor with the challenge to either expose a metal musician he knows is lip-syncing in-concert or eating a dreaded “death wing,” the vocalist admirably hits the wing.
As you’d expect, the Q’s keep coming and the wings start flyin’. At one point they both try tying their very own literal slipknots. Taylor gets a nasty case of indigestion hiccups. It all ends with a piñata-smashing competition to see who has to choke down “The Last Dab.”
